Peachtree Group’s development division, Peachtree Hospitality Development (“PHD”), is on track to deliver a record year of development achievements. In 2022, PHD has opened three select-service hotels, with another hotel slated to open later this year. In addition, the company will break ground this year on 11 hotels, primarily select-service, across the U.S. In total, Peachtree will add more than 1,500 rooms to its portfolio through these developments.

“While construction starts have been slowed by the pandemic and supply chain disruptions, we have successfully navigated these issues and remain on track to deliver the most hotel openings and groundbreakings in our history,” said Mitul Patel, Peachtree’s COO and managing principal.

The hotels opened this year include:

  • 95-room Homewood Suites by Hilton in Destin, Florida
  • 134-room Homewood Suites by Hilton in Louisville, Kentucky
  • 157-room SpringHill Suites in Baltimore, Maryland

Peachtree expects the 132-room Hilton Garden Inn in Florence, Kentucky, to open later this year, as well as two hotels in Florida, the Hilton Garden Inn in Pensacola and the Hampton Inn Delray Beach, during the first three months of 2023.

Twenty Four Seven Hotels Adds Four California Hotels to Ever Expanding West Coast Portfolio

Twenty Four Seven Hotels, a third-party hospitality management company for premium-branded, select-service and lifestyle hotel segments in the western U.S., today announced the addition of four California hotels to its ever-expanding West Coast portfolio. The hotels include the 128-room Hyatt House Sacramento/Midtown, the 112-room Hyatt Place Newark/Silicon Valley, the 90-room Hampton Inn & Suites Marina and the 119-room Holiday Inn Express Chino Hills. The company is currently providing pre-opening services for the soon-to-open hotels, which expect to be fully operational by December 2022.

“We continue to expand our management footprint throughout California, with these four additions bringing our total Golden State portfolio to twenty,” said David Wani, CEO, Twenty Four Seven Hotels. “By focusing exclusively on the West Coast, our area operational expertise is unparalleled. This also allows for the ability to more readily share best practices and enact economies of scale.”

Independently owned, Twenty-Four Seven Hotels is an approved operator for such premium hospitality brands as Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG and Choice. The company is uniquely California-focused, granting it greater market and labour environment understanding.

“Twenty Four Seven Hotels provides a full suite of services, starting at the earliest phases of the pre-construction process to create advantages over companies acquiring or assuming operations at a later stage,” Wani added. “We pride ourselves on having the size to remain well-resourced and effective while staying nimble and responsive to our owners’ needs. Our tailored methods allow for a quicker ramp-up period and greater market share.”

La Zambra officially opens - the luxury Byblos Hotel hideaway in Costa del Sol has transformed from a historic hotel of the 80s and 90s into a relaxed, bohemian retreat

La Zambra, a reborn hotel destination in Málaga, Andalusia. The opening marks the completed transformation of the infamous Byblos hotel, an icon of late 20th-century celebrity and indulgence. Inspired by the celebrity and luxury of its past, La Zambra joins The Unbound Collection by Hyatt.

Nestled in the Mijas mountains and just under 2 miles (3 km) from the coastline, La Zambra invites guests to experience a one-of-a-kind stay steps away from the charming “Pueblo Blanco” of Mijas, one of the white villages of Andalusia. Guests can enjoy the relaxing lifestyle of the local culture on visits to nearby villages, or venture along the coastline to vibrant hotspots of Fuengirola, Puerto Banús and Málaga to sample the rich culture, gastronomy, and nightlife that the region is known for.

The character of the 197 rooms and suites include warm materials and soft tones, evoking longed-for Andalusian essence with an indulgent backdrop where relaxation and fun are blurred. Four distinct dining options feature the flavors of southern Spain, while the luxurious 26,909-square-foot (2,500-square-meter) Mood Spa, offering a Turkish bath, sauna, whirlpools and 12 personalized treatment cabins, will recalibrate body and soul according to the mood preferred by every guest. This commitment to laid-back indulgence ensures a stay at La Zambra is a true expression of its history and Spanish-Mediterranean roots.

“We are delighted to open La Zambra and bring The Unbound Collection by Hyatt to Costa del Sol,” said Joost Kruissen, General Manager of La Zambra. “The Unbound Collection by Hyatt is dedicated to inspiring its guests to create their own stories – and ours is one of relaxed, rebellious luxury, thanks to the legacy of the emblematic Byblos hotel. We can’t wait for our visitors to start their own La Zambra story.”
